This becomes the approved project plan and later supports the final invoice.
Exterior Stair Modernization
- Protect and prepare the work area.Confirm dimensions, material quantities and safe access before removal begins.
- Remove existing tread and riser components as required.Dispose of removed project debris unless otherwise agreed.
- Inspect existing stair framing and stringers.Identify visible deterioration or conditions requiring a written change order.
- Install new composite stair treads.Use approved color and layout, including finished side-edge treatment to conceal grooved board ends.
- Install new risers and side trim.Use the approved white or coordinated finish selected by the customer.
- Prepare and coat retained wood components.Sand sound existing surfaces, prime appropriately and apply exterior-grade finish coating.
- Final cleanup and customer walkthrough.Review completed work, care guidance and any remaining punch-list items.

Structural reconstruction, hidden rot repair, code-required railing changes, permits, electrical work, masonry repair or unrelated deck repairs.
